Motul 8100 ECO-LITE 5W-30 is a 100% Synthetic Fuel Economy engine oil specially formulated for recent petrol engines — naturally aspirated or turbocharged, indirect or direct injection — that require a low-friction, low-HTHS (High Temperature High Shear) viscosity lubricant. It is suitable for modern gasoline engines requiring a viscosity grade 30 Fuel Economy oil to API SQ-RC, API SQ and/or ILSAC GF-7A standards, and is recommended for all GM gasoline engines requiring the GM-dexos1 GEN3 specification, including Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Opel and Vauxhall. It is also catalytic converter friendly.

Fuel Economy and Engine Protection

API SQ lubricants provide outstanding oxidation resistance, improved anti-deposit protection, better engine cleanliness, anti-wear protection and enhanced cold-temperature performance for fuel economy savings throughout the oil’s life. The API SQ-RC “Resource Conserving” specification is even more demanding on energy saving, and adds protection against LSPI (Low Speed Pre-Ignition) for downsized direct injection turbocharged engines. This oil provides high wear protection and high-temperature resistance for better controlled oil consumption, improving oil flow at start-up for faster oil pressure build-up, faster revs and quicker warm-up to operating temperature.

Approvals and Standards for Motul 8100 ECO-LITE 5W-30

This oil meets API SQ-RC and ILSAC GF-7A performance levels and is approved to GM dexos1 GEN3 (also meeting GM 4718M and GM 6094M). It further meets the OEM performance requirements of Chrysler MS 6395, Fiat 9.55535-CR1, Ford WSS-M2C929-A, WSS-M2C946-A, WSS-M2C946-B1 and WSS-M2C961-A1, and Volkswagen VW C 530 34. It is recommended for Acura, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, Genesis, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Kia, Lexus, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru and Toyota gasoline engines calling for a 5W-30 fuel economy oil. Always confirm the correct specification for your vehicle before use.

Recommendations
