Product Description

Motul 8100 X-MAX 0W-40 is a high-performance 100% Synthetic engine oil featuring Full-SAPS technology, designed for powerful, recent petrol and diesel cars fitted with large displacement engines — direct or indirect injection, with or without turbo. A multipurpose oil carrying numerous car maker approvals, it is especially recommended for vehicles still under warranty and is suitable for all fuel types, including petrol, diesel, LPG, CNG and biofuels. It is also compatible with catalytic converters.

High Performance and Engine Protection

This oil meets the demanding API SP standard, providing outstanding oxidation resistance, anti-deposit protection, engine cleanliness, anti-wear protection and LSPI protection for downsized direct injection turbocharged engines. The SAE 0W-40 viscosity grade minimises hydrodynamic friction for fuel economy benefits especially when the oil is cold, while its high HTHS (above 3.5 mPa.s) delivers outstanding lubrication and high-temperature protection. This makes it well suited to sporty, high-output engines — numerous OEMs recommend a 0W-40 grade for vehicles such as the Nissan GT-R, 370Z and 350Z.

Approvals and Standards for Motul 8100 X-MAX 0W-40

This oil meets ACEA A3/B4 and API SP performance levels and carries formal approvals from BMW LL-01, Mercedes-Benz MB-Approval 229.5, Ford WSS-M2C937-A and VW 502 00 / 505 00. It also meets the OEM performance requirements of Chrysler MS 12991, Fiat 9.55535-M2, N2 and Z2, and Renault RN0710. It fully satisfies BMW Long Life-01 for BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles. Always confirm the correct specification for your vehicle before use.

Recommendations
