Motul Cooling System Clean is a cooling circuit cleaner pre-drain additive for use in all liquid cooled, closed cooling systems in passenger cars, commercial vehicles and industrial heat exchangers. Formerly known as Radiator Clean, it is designed for all types of gasoline and diesel engines, naturally aspirated or turbocharged, with or without catalytic converter, using all kinds of fuel.

What Does Motul Cooling System Clean Do?

Added to the engine cooling circuit before draining, Cooling System Clean removes deposits throughout the entire cooling circuit caused by operating conditions, cleans the complete cooling system, dissolves and removes scale and radiator sludge, improves the performance of valves, thermostats and water pumps, and decreases engine temperature. It provides perfect lubrication during the cleaning process of the coolant circuit and improves both heating and cooling performance, increasing the operational reliability of the cooling system and extending the life span of all components.

How to Use Motul Cooling System Clean

Before each coolant drain, add Cooling System Clean to the cooling system. Move all heater controls to the hot position. Let the engine idle for approximately 30 minutes. Drain the system completely and flush with clean water. Refill the cooling system with new coolant according to the manufacturer’s instructions. 300 ml is sufficient for cooling systems of up to 10 litres capacity. Do not exceed the recommended proportion — if necessary, proceed with 2 successive treatments. Attention: open the radiator filling cap slowly and successively — system under pressure, risk of burning.
