Motul 8100 X-Clean FE 5W-30 (formerly 8100 ECO-CLEAN 5W-30) is an advanced 100% Synthetic engine oil that delivers high protection and fuel economy at the same time. It is specially designed for the latest-generation petrol and diesel cars — naturally aspirated or turbocharged, direct or indirect injection — compliant with Euro 4, 5 or 6 emission regulations and requiring an ACEA C2 or C3 Mid-SAPS lubricant. It is compatible with catalytic converters (CAT) and Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF).

High Protection and Fuel Economy

Its synthetic base stocks, combined with specific friction-modifier molecules and dedicated Mid-SAPS levels (reduced Sulfated Ash, Phosphorus and Sulfur), generate outstanding oil film resistance, reduce friction in the engine and protect modern after-treatment systems. The reduced-SAPS technology protects and extends the lifetime of DPF, SCR (Selective Catalyst Reduction, using AdBlue) and GPF systems. The 100% Synthetic base provides high thermal stability and exceptional resistance at high temperatures, preventing varnish and sludge to maintain engine cleanliness while supporting the extended drain intervals managed by the vehicle’s on-board computer.

Approvals and Standards for Motul 8100 X-Clean FE 5W-30

This oil meets ACEA C2 and C3 and API SP performance levels and carries formal approvals from Mercedes-Benz (MB-Approval 229.52), PSA B71 2290 and Renault RN17. It also meets the OEM performance requirements of Fiat 9.55535-S1 and 9.55535-S3. It is recommended for Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mitsubishi, Nissan, SsangYong, Subaru, Suzuki and Toyota engines calling for an ACEA C2 or C3 5W-30 oil. Always confirm the correct specification for your vehicle before use.

Recommendations
